Call me Number 10. Perhaps you were looking for me, a humble number 10 envelope. Perhaps you found me in the back of a drawer while looking for a blue highlighter. Welcome to my world.
Letters from an Envelope, Pt. 1: Number 10 Envelopes
You didn’t know envelopes could write blogs? Well–envelopes humbler than myself are shattering stereotypes every day. For one thing, we’re perfectly compatible with technology, even the most fancy-schmancy social media doo-dads and campaign strategies. That’s because when a good-looking envelope gets to a customer’s hands, it speaks. It says things like, “Pay attention!” and “Remember me, o reader!” And when I’m wearing your logo, well–
But I’m getting ahead of myself.
Not to Brag, but Number 10 Envelopes are Popular
I’ve never had the experience of getting mail, obviously. And I don’t have hands. But believe me–an envelope knows when it’s wanted. And number 10 envelopes are popular. Not to brag, but we get the job done. Even a simple number 10 like me can reach out to customers and clients with real-world appeal. None of this quick, ones-and-zeros, bleeps and bloops business. Luxurious paper. Staying-power paper. Serious business paper. Stick-it-on-the-fridge paper. “I-care-enough-about-you-to-actually-sit-down-and-write-something-substantial” paper.
Go on, think about it. Once you’ve picked up an envelope (even one that’s not as loquacious as me), you’ve made a connection. Shiny or subtle, official as an invoice or warm as holiday cocoa, a personalized envelope makes an immediate connection. That’s because I wear my heart on my sleeve. Why bless my stars, I am a sleeve! With a good envelope, people know where your message is coming from right off the bat, and are instantly engaged with the most time-tested marketing channel there is: mail.
Not Showing Our Age: Number 10 Envelopes are as Relevant as Ever
They said digital communications would banish me to antique shops within a few years. Ha! Not even close! ROIs the world over know: a customized envelope in the hand is still worth two dozen tweets in the bush.
A little more about me: My ancestors are from Spain and France, traced back to the 17th century. Even they were customized–with wax seals. The original envelope branding!
And so I’m not afraid to admit: you complete me. Number 10s are the most flexible, reliable, and commonly-used envelopes for most daily business purposes, and we beg you to customize us. Dress me up for fundraising, or to scare people into paying their bills. Either way, I’m the size most businesses will use to get their daily direct mail needs met.
I may look to you like a common envelope. And indeed, I am the most common of business envelopes. But don’t insult me–I do have taste. If you’re dressing me up, do it right. I may be infinitely flexible, agreeable, and cost-efficient, but I still like to look good.
Tell them how you want to get started, and remind them, if you’re a first-time customer, that they owe you free shipping!
Tata for now!
